Internet Registry
Finnish Visual Artists’ Internet Registry
is a database that covers Finnish professional visual artists and artists
living in Finland. The Registry is administered by the association, and its purpose is to promote Finnish visual art.
All members of the member unions of the Artists’ Association of Finland are entitled to be included in the Internet Registry. Professional visual artists are represented by the Artist Association MUU, the Association of Finnish Sculptors, the Association of Finnish Printmakers, Finnish Painters’ Union and the Union of Artist Photographers.
Artists who are not members of any of the
above-mentioned unions can submit a free-form application to the association’s Internet Registry working group in order to be
included in the Registry database.
Only practising visual artists are included in the Registry. Proof of professional status can be art education, received artist scholarships, artworks in collections or public spaces, exhibitions or presentations in member unions’ galleries, and other exhibitions and festivals that are approved by the Registry working group.
The application must include images of the artist’s work.
The Internet Registry working group makes its decision based on the submitted application. The decision criteria are reviewed yearly.
