Grants call this Fall
Every year, Frame awards two types of grants; a travel grant that can be applied continuously and a project grant with two application periods per year. The purpose of the grants is to promote the international career development of Finnish contemporary artists or artists based in Finland, expand their networks and facilitate opportunities to exhibit or perform abroad.
2023 Travel Grants: Upcoming deadline on 31 October
The application period for 2023 travel grants for artists’ trips ends on 31 October. The decisions will be announced at the end of November. The grant is only available for travel taking place before the end of 2023.
2024 Travel Grants: Applications open on 1 November
Travel grant applications for travels in 2024 can be submitted continuously from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2024. We invite applications from Finnish and Finland-based contemporary artists who present their work outside Finland as well as from foreign art professionals for work-related visits to Finland in 2024.
2024 Project Grants: Open Call from 1 November to 30 November
International Project Grants for 2024 will open for applications on 1 November 2023, and stay open till 30 November 2023. These grants are available for presenting Finnish contemporary art abroad in 2024. The open call invites Project Grant applications from organisations planning exhibition activities as well as from artists and organisations preparing international publications that present the work of Finnish and Finland-based artists.
