The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux invites applications from Finnish and/or Finland-based artists, artistic researchers and creative practitioners for two 4-week residencies in the Netherlands. The residencies are part of Zoöp Connections, a networked knowledge exchange programme connecting Dutch Zoöps (organisation in which human and other than human life work together to foster a practice of ecological regeneration) and European cultural Institutes. 

Residency at Buitenplaats Brienenoord x Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Residency period: 1.9–30.9.2026

Residency at Kunstfort Vijfhuizen, Vijfhuizen, the Netherlands

Residency period: mid-September–mid-October 2026 (exact dates to be agreed with the selected artist)

Deadline for applications: 30.4.2026 at 23:59 CET!

Please note that there will be an online info session via Zoom, on 23 April, 15:00–17:00 CET.

Please note one person will be selected for each residency.
